New Avenue Learning Center understands the need for quality training in a timely manor, and has streamlined classes to teach skills that are only practical and value added. With relevant examples and experienced teachers, a student will acquire the basic skills needed to compete in today's work place. We are so confident in our classes we will provide additional training at no cost until the student performs at levels we have stated.

Classes for Working Professionals
	Refresher Class	This class is for someone who needs a quick refresher course, whether it is for a current job or preparation for a new one.
	SolidWorks Basics	Streamlined course designed to train someone with little to no skills in SolidWorks, and mold them into a productive worker in a relatively short time.
	SolidWorks Advanced	Setup to help experienced SolidWorks users maximize their output
	SolidWorks Routing	Set up and create electrical conduit, tube, and pipe routings using standard library components and Routing Component Wizard.

Classes for Non-Professional (All Ages)

New Avenue has recognized today's youths as tomorrow's industry leaders, which is why we have put together several programs that are specifically geared for non-professionals & hobbyist.

All programs are project based to help students see how to successfully implement the skills they are acquiring. Students will learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations evaluating such things as strength, motion, and aerodynamics of designs.

Classes for Non-Professional (All Ages)
	Bridge Design	Learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations testing the *strength* of various components of the bridge design.
	CO² Car Design	Learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations testing the *aerodynamics* of various components of the car design.
	Mountain Board Design	Learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations testing the strength of various components of the mountain board.
	Catapult	Learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations testing the motion and forces exerted on various components of the Catapult

Topics covered in the course are:

• Review of SolidWorks user interface
• Complete a series of exercises designed to reacquaint a user to the workings of SolidWorks.

SolidWorks Basics

(6 Nights)

Topics covered in the course are:

• Familiarization of SolidWorks user interface
• Understanding file references
• Create new and edit existing parts, assemblies, and blue prints
• Use tool box features to create nuts, bolts, I-beams, C-channels and etc.

• Use Hole Wizard to create tapped and counter bored holes

• Develop proper design intent practices
• Use COSMOSXpress to determine strength of a part
