New Avenue Learning Center understands the need for quality training in a timely manor, and has streamlined classes to teach skills that are only practical and value added. With relevant examples and experienced teachers, a student will acquire the basic skills needed to compete in today's work place. New Avenue has recognized today's youths as tomorrow's industry leaders, which is why we have put together several programs that are specifically geared for non-professionals & hobbyist. 
 

All programs are project based to help students see how to successfully implement the skills they are acquiring. Students will learn how to create 3D models, assembles, blue prints, and run advanced computer simulations evaluating such things as strength, motion, and aerodynamics of designs.

Topics covered in the course are:

• Review of SolidWorks user interface
• Complete a series of exercises designed to reacquaint a user to the workings of SolidWorks.


SolidWorks Basics

(6 Nights)

Topics covered in the course are:

• Familiarization of SolidWorks user interface
• Understanding file references
• Create new and edit existing parts, assemblies, and blue prints
• Use tool box features to create nuts, bolts, I-beams, C-channels and etc.

• Use Hole Wizard to create tapped and counter bored holes

• Develop proper design intent practices
• Use COSMOSXpress to determine strength of a part
